Considered one of the most influential guitarists of the “New Wave of American Heavy Metal”, Adam is the lead guitarist for Killswitch Engage. Rising to fame with the 2004 release The End of Heartache, which had a Grammy Nominated title track, Killswitch Engage has since became one of the hottest touring bands of the day. Adams’ playing can be described as extremely articulate & technically proficient to wild & unpredictable. Adam is a welcome addition to the Parker family, and we look forward to a long relationship with this extraordinary musician.
The Adam Dutkiewicz Signature Dragonfly is equipped with all the great features Parker is known for with the addition of an EMG® 85 neck pickup, and an EMG® 81 bridge pickup. The 81 is best used with high volume overdrive and amps with a master volume. This pickup was designed especially for lead guitarists. The 85 has more measurable output than the 81 however, its frequency response and string interface are different. Because of the more natural tone, it works great as a rhythm and blues pickup because it has loads of output but isn’t muddy. The result is a Fly the soars above the crowd with a scream that will be sure to resonate beyond expectation.
